Effective leadership is essential to ensure work environments that encourage collaboration, innovation, and resilience. Being a leader is more than just a title; this session is for all staff. This presentation will be interactive and adaptive to the audience. Discussion time will be allotted to discuss current challenges in addition to sharing best practices. Together we can all contribute to institutional success by fostering environments that empower both staff and students to thrive.
In the Electronic Media Production (EMP) program, we ask our students to view the media they love through a critical lens by asking themselves how content impacts Culture. Join this session, where you will engage in activities I use in the classroom. We will begin by choosing a prompt that links to a music album, listening, and reflecting on how the prompt aligns with the vibe of the album. After the critical listening activity, I will share some scenes that shaped my life and teaching philosophy. Finally, we will discuss the film movement that took place from 1997-2002 and its impact on today’s popular culture.
