The focus of my doctoral project was on reality shock and transition to practice for Licensed Practical Nursing graduates, but this topic is applicable to all programs at Ozarks Tech. I will present the research behind reality shock and transition to practice and provide concrete steps that faculty can take to prepare our students so they can be successful in their new jobs. This presentation promotes the Ozarks Tech Core Values of being student-centered, data-informed, and community-focused.
