Travel for Less: Leverage Your Normal Spending to Earn Credit Card Miles and Points for Ttravel
Tuesday February 18, 2025 9:00am - 9:45am CST
After 10+ years of credit card sign-ups, I have taken my family of 4 on more than 50 trips using points and miles. Some have been small weekend outings; others were two weeks in Europe. This was possible on a teacher's salary, due to credit card sign-up bonuses. Flights, hotels, and rental cars can be paid for using points by leveraging good credit and paying off balances each month.

What We Learned from Better FAFSA and How We Can Support Students This Year
Tuesday February 18, 2025 11:00am - 11:45am CST
The rollout of the new “better” FAFSA in 23-24 was challenging for everyone – students, families, and those who support them. Delays and glitches exacerbated confusion over the form and the process and led to a nearly 10% drop in FAFSA completions over the previous year. There were, however, some positives, including a much simpler form for those able to complete it. In this session, we’ll share lessons learned and how student success, financial aid, and other professionals can support students.
