Field trips to museums provide community college art students with vital experiential learning. Recent studies show that viewing original art activates the brain in ways digital images cannot, fostering deeper engagement. At Ozarks Tech, we’ve taken students to Crystal Bridges, supported by a small grant, and plan future visits to the Nelson-Atkins and Kemper Museums. These trips deepen understanding of art history and contemporary practice, enriching students' education.
