About me
Jennifer Dunkel has been teaching college composition since 2001 and has been a faculty member at Ozarks Technical Community College since 2006. She holds degrees in English, Composition Rhetoric, and Instructional Leadership and has presented at local, regional, and national conferences on high-impact teaching practices, curriculum development, and student success. Jennifer has contributed to institutional and departmental assessment redesign, student learning initiatives, and innovation in active learning classroom design. As an early adopter of AI in education - along with witnessing the decline of critical reading and thinking skills over the past several years (expedited by AI's splash into the public sector) - Jennifer has been actively engaged in discussions about AI's impact on teaching and learning and now finds herself firmly rooted in the "Doomer/Gloomer" category of views on AI.
