About me
Nathan Pounds, MSRC, RRT, RPFT, AE-C, is a Springfield-based educator and Laboratory Coordinator for Ozarks Technical Community College's award-winning Respiratory Therapy program. A 2021 program graduate and Clinician of the Year, Nathan holds a Master of Science in Respiratory Care with a leadership focus from Texas State University, where he earned Outstanding Academic Graduate Student honors. He oversees lab instruction, student research, and has co-authored published research in Respiratory Care. Nathan also contributes to the profession through volunteer roles, serving on the AARC Membership Innovation Committee and the Political Advocacy Committee for the Missouri Society for Respiratory Care. With a background in psychology, personal experience with pediatric asthma, and doctoral studies in higher education, Nathan is dedicated to advancing respiratory care education and mentoring future professionals.
